Good-bye, California!

Heading back to the East Coast tonight and my sister is coming along with me too! Should be an interesting week.

Tiny slice of brozo's pizza
(My mother used to make this pizza for us in high school for breakfast. It's also piled with sausage and pepperoni, so I could only snag a corner of his slice.)

When the werewolves howl*,

my mother and meat-loving sister become vegetarians. I wish the moon was always full, because the dining table is so much more fun.

[*No, really, the labrador next door was howling all night.]

Brunch (bought from Dong Phuong Tofu, San Jose, CA):
Various vegetarian selections (L to R): fried tofu, tofu "spam musubi sushi", stuffed jalapeno peppers, fried tofu wrapped in brined soybean, tomato braised tofu wrapped in brined soybean
(Essentially all tofu cooked in some minor variation.)

Happy birthday, Nathalie!

Breakfast:
Brown rice w/veg pulp & seaweed, sauteed spinach & tofu
(Made lunch for my mother to take to work today! I asked her to give me her thoughts on it, and she said, "it's okay".  When asked why, she told me that there was no meat in it and that it cannot be good if there's no meat. Well, then.)
