"Chipwich": cookie dough ice cream sandwiched between homemade chocolate chip cookies
(Chocolate chip cookies are underrated, but never estimate the power of a good chocolate chip cookie. I was initially really disappointed in this place because the sign was such a classic ice cream parlour sign but a banner advertised "Breyers ice cream served here". Luckily, I saw that they had ice cream sandwiches and ordered one - the ice cream may be mediocre, but the cookies are pretty good.)
Dinner from The Pizza Shack, Philadelphia, PA:

Cheese pizza
(Extremely busy pizza place with a cool rotating oven. The pizza is super fresh and while it's not gourmet Italian, a good, greasy slice will hit the spot. This is a takeaway/eat-in-your-car-or-on-the-curb place though.)

(There was this new brand of almond milk on sale and the bottle was just so cute that I had to get it. I normally get unsweetened unflavoured almond milk but decided to live a little. Okay, well, I shouldn't change my picky habits because while it smelt great and the packaging looked adorable, my stomach revolted and expelled the enemy.  I sampled just the milk again just in case and a third time before I decided to just pour it down the drain. What a waste.)
The culprit: vanilla almond milk
(So cute to look at, but not cute enough to drink again. Sorry. I think I'm just too used to unsweetened and unflavoured.)

Spicy Sabzi w/bread: baby spinach, kale, spicy quinoa, spicy broccoli, carrots, beets, basil, sprouts & roasted tofu w/carrot chili vinaigrette & sriracha sauce
(I don't really like buying salads because I think they're so easy to make, but once in awhile I will. I also needed the dressing to braise some tofu and vegetables. The salad was pretty good, since I normally eat salad as is anyway. If I judged the dressing though, I would have dropped a few stars. Like the frozen yogurt, it barely had any flavour.)

One Year Later

Met up with Gino and his friends today to watch the USA vs Portugal game! It's been a year since I last saw this dude.

Post-workout drink:
Spinach, romaine lettuce, banana, pb & almond milk smoothie
(My flatmate was a bit skeptical about this smoothie, but I think she liked it! The almond milk surprisingly overpowered the peanut butter, so it just tasted like textured almond milk.)
Brunch:
1/6 of a mixed cheese hoagie w/spinach & romaine lettuce
(I am never going to finish this hoagie!)

Dinner while watching the game at City Tap House, Philadelphia, PA:
Yards Love Stout (Nitro): "4.5% chocolatey, seductive and earthy - a Philly classic!"
(I like chocolate and it's a Philly classic, so how could I not get this? Everyone who sampled this told me that they could taste the chocolate, that it tasted like dark bitter chocolate, but I couldn't taste it! The flavour resembled coffee more than chocolate to me, which isn't bad because I do like coffee but I guess I was kind of disappointed.)
Mezze plate: hummus, falafel, roasted eggplant w/feta, cucumbers & tzaziki, roasted tomato tapenade, flatbread
(The falafels and eggplant w/feta were extremely salty. I liked the roasted tomato tapenade and random edamame side the best. Everything else was rather mediocre or much too salty.)
