Thanksgiving dinner number two is happening tonight! I'm so excited.
Brunch:
Baked sweet potato w/cinnamon, cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, chickpeas w/black pepper, baby carrots, cucumber slices |
Chocolaet chip cookies (ate these solely for the chocolate) |
President Biddy's Thanksgiving Dinner at The Lord Jeff, Amherst, MA:
Hello, food. |
A view of the table setting |
Wheat roll, muffin, butternut squash ravioli, tomato & mozzarella penne, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, salad, carrots & green beans
(Not too impressed with anything. The ravioli was too dense and creamy, which might have been fine if it was completely savoury but it was too sweet. I liked the carrots the best, and would have rather gone to Val's Thanksgiving dinner.) |
Pumpkin chiffon pie, apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate creme pie (all shared w/Marie), black coffee
(What happened to a good ol' fashioned pumpkin pie? This chiffon was alright, but too "fluffy" and whipped cream-esque. The apple pie tasted like a thawed Sara Lee pie or something of that sort. While I'm not a fan of pecan or chocolate creme, the combination of both salvaged the dessert.) |
A view of Claire's pecan pie (which I stole several forkfuls from). |
Late Night Nibbles:
Sips of ginger kombucha |
Green tea goodies! |
Green tea oreo
(This is too large; I wish it was the regular American size.) |
