Back in California!

Began my first day in CA with a three mile run only to run an additional four mile loop with my cousin half an hour later. Break is great.

Brunch:
Pineapple slices, apple slices, banana slices, green beans, water spinach
Sample:
Sip of my sister's guava strawberry drink
(Not bad, but too sweet.)
Snack:
Almonds, cashew nut clusters
Snack:
Dessert at Class 302, Rowland Heights, CA:
Glimpse of our savouries and sweets, without the finished sausage.
Sweet sausage (didn't eat)
(Your basic sweet sausage; I haven't eaten sausage since middle/high school, but everyone else at the table commented that these were identical to the typical store branded ones.)
Oyster omelette (didn't eat)
(Apparently this was awful. The oysters were old, the tapioca ratio off and the omelette not well done.)
Mango shaved ice w/mochi & white pudding
(Sneaky mound of white pudding in the middle; I don't know what white pudding means but it's probably vanilla flavoured. Loved the creamy texture of the ice and the chewy mochi, but this was too sweet for me. The mango flavour was spot-on though, so maybe less condensed milk and simple syrup would have further enhanced the mango flavour but kept the level of sugar low.)
Fried chicken (didn't eat)
(The table liked this until the bottom, when it was an oily mess.)
Strawberry shaved ice w/chocolate pudding
(Again, surprise chocolate pudding in the middle. I didn't like either pudding though. This shaved ice was a lot less sweet, which was much appreciated, but the strawberry flavour was a bit weak compared to the mango flavour from the other shaved ice. I really liked mixing the two shaved ice flavours.)
Close-up of the strawberry shaved ice
(So smooth!)
