Back to the Bay Area

Morning Nibble:
Small bite of this green bean-filled sesame ball
Samples in Arirang Supermarket, Garden Grove, CA:
Wasabi jellyfish
(I ate part of a jellyfish!!! The texture was expected: chewy, springy and somewhat rubbery. The marinade was light and slightly sweet. Would have been good if I hadn't been so focused on the jellyfish aspect.)
Korean fishcake soup
(It's packaged as red kamaboko-yamasa and tenpura donghai if anyone's interested. Pretty decent although a bit too rubbery for my tastes.)
Korean herb tea, buckwheat tea, seaweed
Lunch at Los Sanchez, Garden Grove, CA:
Delicious Mexican food!
Brozo's carnita burrito
(In SoCal, they fill wraps and burritos with protein. Lots of meat, lots of beans, lots of chickpeas. The end result is that you get full, fast and for a long time. In NorCal, they fill the same things with rice, salad and everything else. You don't get the same end result.)
Veggie burrito
(Cannot leave SoCal without eating Mexican food!)
Chips w/guacamole, beans, cheese & diced tomatoes (shared w/brozo)
(I love Mexican food. Love.)
Horchata (shared w/brozo)
(Bit too sweet, but it lessened the heat!)
Snack:
Orange slices
Snacks from 85°C Bakery, Garden Grove, CA:
Piece of chocolate coffee pastry
(The coffee was a nice touch to the sweet chocolate pastry.)
Piece of blueberry cream cheese pastry
(Still not a fan of blueberry cream cheese-based pastries.)
Road Trip Snacks:
Piece of mango pastry
Some brioche
Oranges
Late Dinner Stop at In-N-Out, Kettleman City, CA:
Burgers galore
Lots of fries & condiments
Chocolate milkshake w/fries (shared w/siblings)
(Quite possibly the best milkshake around for the price of $2.50! Thick, creamy and oh so delicious, especially when you dip fries in it.)
